Day - 1 : Arrival in Guwahati - Shillong Sightseeing
Arrive in Guwahati and drive to Shillong, enjoying beautiful views en route. Visit Umiam Lake (viewpoint), Elephant Falls, Ward’s Lake, and the Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians. Spend the evening exploring Police Bazaar for shopping and local cuisine before staying overnight in Shillong.
Day - 2 : Shillong - Cherrapunji Sightseeing
Drive to Cherrapunji, stopping at Mawkdok Dympep Viewpoint for breathtaking views. Explore Mawsmai and Arwah Caves, visit Nohkalikai Falls and Seven Sisters Falls, and conclude the day by watching the sunset at Eco Park. Stay overnight in Cherrapunji.
Day - 3 : Nongriat Trek - Double Decker Living Root Bridge
Embark on a trek to Nongriat Village, descending about 3,500 steps to reach the iconic Double Decker Living Root Bridge. Continue trekking to Rainbow Falls, known for its stunning blue waters. After a full day of exploration, return to Cherrapunji for an overnight stay.
Day - 4 : Cherrapunji - Wei Sawdong Falls - Dawki - Shnongpdeng
Start the day with a visit to Wei Sawdong Falls, known for its three-tiered cascade. Later, drive to Dawki, where you can enjoy boating on the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River. Visit the India-Bangladesh border, then head to Shnongpdeng for a riverside camping experience with a bonfire. Stay overnight in Shnongpdeng.
Day - 5 : Dawki - Jowai - Shillong (Including Phe Phe Falls)
Travel towards Jowai, stopping at Krang Suri Falls, one of Meghalaya’s most picturesque waterfalls. Visit Phe Phe Falls, where optional boating offers a unique experience. Explore the Nartiang Monoliths, a historic site with ancient stone structures, before returning to Shillong for an overnight stay.
Day - 6 : Krem Chympe Cave Exploration
Take a day trip to Krem Chympe, one of India’s longest caves, featuring underground rivers, waterfalls, and limestone formations. Explore accessible parts of the cave (deep cave exploration is not recommended for children). Return to Shillong and stay overnight.
Day - 7 : Shillong - Wari Chora
Travel to Wari Chora, a hidden gem in Meghalaya, known for its stunning river gorges and canyons. Enjoy the scenic drive through dense forests and relax at a riverside campsite. Spend the evening by the river with a bonfire and traditional local dinner. Stay overnight in Wari Chora.
Day - 8 : Wari Chora Exploration
Spend the day exploring Wari Chora, taking a boat ride through its beautiful canyons. Enjoy a short forest trek, relax by the riverbank, and take in the stunning scenery. (Advanced canyoning and extreme trekking are not recommended for young children). Stay overnight in Wari Chora.
Day - 9 : Wari Chora - Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary - Guwahati
Depart from Wari Chora early morning and drive to Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary, famous for its high population of one-horned rhinoceroses. Enjoy a jeep safari or elephant safari, spotting wildlife such as wild buffaloes, deer, and various bird species. After the safari, drive to Guwahati for an optional Brahmaputra River Cruise in the evening. Stay overnight in Guwahati.
Day - 10 : Departure from Guwahati
Depart from Guwahati for your flight or train, taking home unforgettable memories of Meghalaya and Assam’s breathtaking landscapes and wildlife.
